25th Annual Kilmore Quay Seafood Festival, 8th July -11th July 2010

 

This year's 25th Annual Seafood Festival will take place from Thurs 8th July to Sun of 11th July. The 2010 Programme of Events will feature on this site a little later but read on for a taste of whats in store. Now in its 25th Year the festival has a huge following of Seafood enthusiasts, who return after year to sample our delicious Seafood Platters which will be served again this year in the Stella Maris Centre. We are aiming to expand the seafood fare on offer this year so watch this space for updates.

The Parade will kick start the programme on Thurs mid July, starting from the Hotel Saltees featuring the traditional childrens float which they will have made in the Days running up to the festival under the
direction of Michael & Eileen Way - the Masters Of Craft and Story Telling. The other participants in the parade represent our traditions, with a wonderful display of community groups and banners. After the offical opening all are welcome to come back to the Stella Maris Centre for refreshments, music and chat. Friday, Saturday and Sunday will feature a number of childrens activities, workshops, exhibitions, Stalls on the Cross,Set Dancing with Waterford Ceili Band, And More............................
