Enjoy the trails on the foreshore of the Bay of Ballyteige, viewing to Hook Head far into the distance or walk in the Lee of the sand dunes which skirt behind Ballyteige Burrow, miles of peace and tranquillity, Ballyteige Castle in the background now landlocked after Ballyteige Lough was drained in the 1840s and the miles of walks beside the Burrow were created Welcome to Kilmore Quay in Co Wexford.
One of the first features to strike anyone visiting the village for the first time is the number of thatched cottages lining the village street. Most of these cottages date back to the 18th and 19th centuries, and are of significant national importance. wandering down the village street will bring you to the harbour and fishing fleet.
  

The area around the village has many unspoilt beaches, offering miles of the finest sand dunes in the south-east.
